N2 - In this paper, we summarize RecTour 2016 -a workshop on recommenders in tourism co-located with RecSys 2016. There was a great variety of submissions, i.e., research papers, demo papers and position papers, addressing fundamental challenges of recommender systems in the tourism domain. The main topics included group recommendations, context-aware recommenders, choice-based recommenders and event recommendations.
