Why communication researchers should study the internet: A dialogue

Abstract

The importance of internet for communication researchers to build business prospects is discussed. The qualities of communication on the net includes multimedia, hypertextuality, packet switching, synchronicity and interactivity. The net has a packet switching network that has social, content and receiver, which plays an important role in restructuring the social relations or citizens of the Net. The internet offers the user a broad range of communication opportunities and help net users to solve cognitive effortful tasks and challenges.
