Abstract

Survey data obtained from 205 employees of a pharmaceutical company in Israel, the UK and Hungary were used to test a social exchange model of employee work attitudes and behaviors. The relationships among the research variables were analyzed using mixed models for the organization as a whole and for each country separately. The findings shown that organizational justice is an important predictor of trust in all three samples indicates the importance of these two concepts in organizational life in different countries. The results also suggest that the different dimensions of organizational justice and the two trust foci may not operate identically in relation to turnover intentions and OCB in different settings. Methodological, theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
