The use of standard distance as an equity criterion for public facility location ( travel).

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Distance inequality in public facility location may be solved through relocation of facilities and redistricting of territories to assure equal travel of users. This may be achieved through a geostatistical model consisting of the mean centre, the standard distance, the major directions of a point series, and an efficient sub-division of such a series. The model evaluates potential sites through critical values of standard distance as a measure of equity.-Author
