The isometries of C_p^n,m into C_P

Abstract

We characterize the isometries of C_p^n,m into C_P (l≦p<∞, p ≠ 2, 2≦n,m). In particular, we find that if X ⊂C_P is isometric to C_p^n,m, then there exists a contractive projection from C_p onto X.
