Abstract
The variation of meander wavelength with drainage area shows that the rate of change is low in small and very large basins and high in intermediate basins. Bankfull flow appears to be the dominant flow in basins up to about 1000 miles2, while in larger basins the mean flow becomes the important factor in influencing meander wavelength.-Author
