Abstract
Presents a macro-level portrait of the relief of Israel from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River and the Golan Heights, dividing the area into a series of landscape units, and relating tectonic processes with geomorphological ones. The nature of different relief patterns is explored, and the effects of water are emphasised. Brief comments are made on man-induced changes in the landscape and on dynamic geomorphology. -P.J.Jarvis
