Abstract
More than 100 million people have become refugees since the beginning of the present century as a result of wars, revolutions and boundary changes. Relocation and resettlement of refugees are often responsible for the stirring of a new conflict among neighboring states. Refugees resettlement areas near the borders of South Africa have become bases for guerilla warfare against this state, and similar cases characterise Central American refugees. There are three options or solutions for refugee situations: repatriation to their own country or origin; resettlement in their first country of asylum; or a move towards a permanent settlement in a third country. -Author
