Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive study of an extensive cornet collection discovered at the Chalcolithic site of Teleilat Ghassul. These enigmatic conical vessels, considered a fossile directeur of the period, have never been systematically studied to date. The current research examines their material sources, morphological characteristics, shaping techniques and discard patterns. Finally, we propose a new framework for understanding their social role and function.
