In this chapter we first describe the role of self-regulation in reading comprehension. Next we review domain-specific self-regulation learning (SRL) literature on reading self-perception and self-evaluations of reading. Finally, we present strategies to enhance SRL during reading comprehension and describe a reading comprehension training study that included feedback on SRL and its results.
