Retraction notice to “New insights into engineered plant-microbe interactions for pesticide removal” (Chemosphere, (2022), 309, P2, (136635), (S0045653522031289), 10.1016/j.chemosphere.2022.136635)

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editors-in-Chief. Review of this submission was handled by Guest Editor Pankaj Bhatt, who has a personal conflict of interest with the corresponding author Kalpana Bhatt. This conflict was not disclosed to the journal editors or publisher during the peer review process, compromising the editorial process and breaching the journal's policies, and as such the editors no longer have confidence in this paper and are retracting it. Additionally, an unauthorised authorship change was made when the revised version of this paper was submitted with author Kuldeep Singh being added to the paper. No satisfactory explanation was given for this change, nor was it approved by the editor. This change also violates the journal's policies, further contributing to the editors' loss of confidence in the integrity of the paper. The journal apologises for not having identified the problematic authorship change during the review process and for any resulting inconvenience.>
