Abstract
We read with interest the comments of Hofstetter et al. [this issue] regarding the magmatic diapirs in the intermediate crust under the Dead Sea [Rabinowitz et al., 1996]. In the following paragraphs we discuss the points made by Hofstetter et al. in the order that they were raised, using their headings and numeration.
