Abstract
Research on women in military orders has seen a notable surge in recent decades. This work examines aspects related to female involvement in the order of Hospitallers in the Latin East and its characteristics. It presents an evolution that appears to coincide with the social and political development of women’s positions in the Latin East. Additionally, it examines the roles of women who, driven by political, social, economic, and spiritual motives, asociated with the order and aided its patrimonial expansion through donations and transactions.
