Abstract
Motivation for change in support groups for bereaved parents is a critical factor in work with such groups. Issues of timing and utilizing knowledge of the grieving process must be considered prior to and during the treatment process. This paper is an attempt at analyzing the group processes which may hinder or facilitate motivation for change in support groups of bereaved parents. It is based on experience accumulated in working under the auspices of the Israeli Defense Ministry.
