Abstract

The generalized Ginzburg-Landau equation containing the inertia effects is applied to describe the dynamics of fast motions of the walls of spin magnetic domains in Ising ferromagnetics instead of the Landau-Lifshitz equation. The analogous consideration is carried out for orbital (Condon) magnetic domains in the three-dimensional electron gas under the conditions of the nonlinear de Haas-van Alphen effect. The velocity, the profile, the width, the surface tension of the domain wall and the power dissipated during the domain wall motion are calculated as functions of the external magnetic field strength.
