Nonlinear mechanism for ionic conductivity in proustite and pyrargyrite

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The kink mechanism for the silver ion transport is considered in proustite (Ag3AsS3) and pyrargyrite (Ag3SbS3). It is shown that chains of S-Ag-S bonds in which silver ions move in double-minimum potentials can be channels for the silver conduction. A good agreement between the theory and the experiment is obtained.
