Abstract

Elaborating a new material from Jordan resulted in describing two species Dendrobaena alexandrii and Dendrobaena transjordanica new to science and a new record for the country. The updated list of earthworms reports 20 species recorded in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Out of all recorded species 9-12 species (45-60%) are autochtonous and 8-11 species (40-55%) are introduced.
