Municipal Elder Law: A Minnesota Perspective

Abstract

The article focuses on the development in elder law in both state and federal system of the U.S. and the steady increase in the elder population of the country. The impact of ageing society on local community and need of reform in elder rights are discussed with reference to the municipal elder law of Minnesota. The need of considering special issues facing elders, the suggested recommendations which include investment of greater resource and utilization of local legislation is also discussed.
