Abstract

Segmentation of image sequences to independently moving objects is performed. This case covers moving camera and moving objects, and at present is limited to 2D rigid motion. Extensions to general 3D rigid motion may be possible. Other approaches for determining three dimensional motion were suggested based on the computation of the optical flow, which is very sensitive to noise and time consuming. The method suggested here is not based on the optical flow and is therefore much faster and immune to noise.
