Abstract

A pilot micromorphological study was carried out at Area K after the 2006 season. Four undisturbed sediments, in block format, were extracted from two localities within the excavation area (Fig. 33.1). Three blocks were collected from the layered sediments exposed on the northern baulk of Square N/11 (Locus 98/K/41), now identified as a household midden (Gafri and Shahack-Gross, Chapter 34) related to the open area north of the Level K-4 (late Iron I) Courtyard House 00/K/10 (Gadot et al. 2006).
