Abstract
הפרק הנוכחי עוסק בסוגיית ההישגים הלימודיים של בני נוער בחברה הערבית בישראל ומתמקד בהשפעת הדיגלוסיה על לקויות למידה. נוסף על כך מוצגות בו גישה רגשית - תרבותית וגישה קוגניטיבית: הגישה הרגשית - תרבותית רואה בשפת האם גורם אשר מעצב את אישיותו של התלמיד הערבי בגיל ההתבגרות, ואילו הגישה הקוגניטיבית מייחסת משקל רב לאינטראקציה שבין מאפייני השפה לבין תהליכי הלמידה.
