Abstract
The chapters collected in “Where: Media and Transmedialities” focus directly on the different media in which genre and gender frameworks are developed. These chapters look explicitly at form and the political and aesthetic possibilities opened by the different media: music, gaming, modding, adaptation, cinema, language, and fashion, and demonstrate how technology mediates authority and enacts power within even the most banal aspects of our daily lives.
