Abstract
The paper presents bereaved parents' responses to their sons' deaths according to the following subjects: The pain in losing a son, the difficulty accepting the finality of death, the deceased's role, the idealization of the deceased, and the parents' need to introduce their dead sons to people who knew and did not know them.
