Abstract
The article focuses on the partnerships between the governments and private sector to aid the government in cybersecurity, surveillance, and tasks related to law enforcement. Topics discussed include the legal aspects of these kinds of public-private partnerships, the PRISM surveillance program of the National Security Agency (NSA) of the U.S., and the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden. Also mentioned is the role that this model of governance with online intermediaries can play in the future.
