Abstract

Following the excavations of Courtyard House 00/K/10 of Level K-4, with open areas adjacent to it, Gadot et al. (2006) hypothesized that a series of finely laminated greyish layers located on the northwestern side of the house are composed of organic remains of threshing floors. These layers are currently exposed on the northern section of Square N/11. A geoarchaeological approach, supported by ethnographic and ethnoarchaeological data, had been undertaken in order to test this hypothesis.
