Abstract
The occurrence of Pleurotus cystidiosus and P. smithii is reported for the first time in Israel, both species being new for Asia. The basidiocarps were collected from four localities in Israel on Schinus terebinthifolius and Morus alba, which represent new hosts of this species. Detailed descriptions, locations and dates of collections in Israel, distribution, ecological and biological information, and taxonomic remarks on both species are given.
