Abstract

Male and female adolescents (N = 1328) from three subcultures in Israel (in cities, kibbutzim, and Arab settlements) were compared on the realistic-relativistic dimension of moral judgment. Significant differences were found at different age levels and between sexes. These differences are explained with the use of the concept of exposure to social varieties, which relates to socialization patterns and openness to other cultures.
