N2 - Five years have passed since the paper by Clara Mancini, titled "Animal Computer Interaction-a manifesto" marked the beginning of ACI as a scientific discipline. In these five years the "baby" discipline has grown significantly, as witnessed by numerous publications and scientific events. This year ACI'16 takes place for the first time as an independent conference, which makes it particularly timely moment to reflect on the achievements of ACI as a scientific community and to discuss its current identity and ways of further shaping it in the future.
