Abstract

Employing non reactive, multiple measures, this study explored the development of self-disclosure among eight elementary school girls who participated in a counseling and therapy group for 38 sessions over 2 years of treatment. Of the eight categories measuring the content of self-disclosure, the expression of feelings was the dominating one. Self-disclosure increased over time and was subject to length of treatment, specific activities, and individual differences.
