Abstract
Presents a conceptual scheme to understand different agricultural activities. Diversity is seen as the result of a difference in decision-making systems, being differences between the perceived environment in terms of its institutional and personal elements. A different perception of the significance of a particular agricultural activity exists in the decision environment of the various settlements. This environment is applied to the rural settlements in Israel. -after Author
