Abstract
The concept of joy plays a central role in the theology of Rabbi Hasdai Crescas, and in the work of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks. This chapter argues that, despite their many differences, the exploration of each of these thinkers into the nature and significance of joy helps to shine new light upon the exploration of the other.
