Compensation of parasitic loops in homing systems via an observer-compensator approach

Abstract

An observer-compensator approach is proposed to compensate radome refraction in active homing radar missiles, instead of or in addition to radome slope calibration. This approach has the potential to decrease the miss distance at the cost of decreasing the stability region with re- spect to the radome error slope.
