Abstract
The article discusses the issues behind the supervision of local fiscal policies in Israel. The author provides an overview on the development of the Israeli local crisis, with details on the socioeconomic processes and the local political structure and lack of state monitoring. He also demonstrates the lapses in the state's monitoring and suggests partial solutions.
