Abstract
The paper discusses the next step in digital mapping data base updating. This step is presented as a process of three sub-steps: change detection, intelligent feature extraction, and updating. These three sub-steps, though slightly correlated, are carried independently, and may enhance traditional and newly generated digital mapping processes. -from Author
