Abstract
Buzz-pollination was observed in three nectariferous Boraginaceae spp.:Onosma giganteaLam., Trichodesma africana (L.)R. Br. and T. boissieriPost. An evolutionary pathway from usual nectariferous flowers to typical buzz-pollinated flowers is suggested.
