Abstract

The paper deals with first results of the study of species composition of blue-green algae of the two opposite (S-N) slopes at "Evolution Canyon", Lower Nahal Oren, Mt.Carmel Natural preserve. 38 species (40 forms) of Cyanophyta were revealed by cultural method, among them 14 species (15 forms) are first cited for Israel. Diagnoses and figures of described species are presented.
