Abstract

Angular acceleration sensors technologies are evolving and emerging in various applications. In this paper, we propose using them as an alternative or in addition to gyroscopes in inertial navigation system configurations. First, a review of modern angular acceleration sensors technologies and their possible applications is provided. In addition, angular acceleration based inertial navigation system equations of motion are derived.
