Agricultural location theory: a review and bibliography of theory and applications

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This is a limited review and bibliography of agricultural location theory. After a general introduction, noting alternative conceptions of "economic rent', the review is in six chapters: chemical agricultural location theory, modern versions of Von Thunen's crop theory, what results from a relaxation of the assumptions, applications, extension to a macro-model and a review of the theory of land-use intensity. There are eighteen illustrations and nearly one-hundred-and-fifty references. -P. Townroe
