Abstract
A new form, Peridinium vohu Lemm. var. volzii f. complexam Krachmalny (Dinophyta), has been found in water bodies of northern Israel. It differs from the typical form in having a bifurcated apical plate. Results of the comparative morphological analysis and TEM studies of p. volzii var. vohu f. vohu and P. vohu var. volzii f. complexum, their figures, and photomicrographs are presented.
