קיימים כיום מספר תהליכים במגזר הימי, הנמצאים בשלבים מוקדמים, שיכול ויובילו בהמשך הדרך למשטר בין לאומי מחייב בעל מנגנוני פיקוח ובקרה יעילים בתחום אבטחת סייבר. תהליכים אלו אינם מקיפים כרגע את כלל הענפים והפעילות במגזר הימי הגלובלי (מתוך המאמר)
