Abstract
The article re-examines Hezekiah’s Hebrew inscription found in the Ophel. The authors offer new readings as well as a new high-quality RTI photograph. The historical context of the inscription and its relation to other royal inscriptions of King Hezekiah from the City of David are also explained anew. In the authors’ opinion, the inscription refers to three topics: a. Hezekiah’s water project; b. His victory over the Philistines and the deportation of Philistines to Judah; c. Accumulation of property.
