Abstract
בחינת הגורמים העיקריים שעומדים בלב שיקוליה של וושינגטון לגבי סין - מגבלות כוחה של ארצות הברית בניהול המערכת הבינלאומית, המתיחות הגוברת עם רוסיה, הצורך במידע אסטרטגי על סין והתפרצות המשבר הפיננסי העולמי - יכולה לסייע בהערכת כיווני התפתחותם של יחסי סין-ארצות הברית, ומכאן גם בהגדרת מסגרות פעולה אפשריות להתנהלות ישראל בין שתי המעצמות האלה.
