I am a geomorphologist with a background in morphotectonics and landscape evolution. I am particularly interested in weathering processes and rock decay mechanisms at various temporal and spatial scales—from bacterial erosion in stalagmites to the mechanical decay of rocks during forest fires and chemomechanical decay in cavernous landforms. I am actively involved in the research fields of geomorphology, palaeogeography, and geoarchaeological studies, tracing human interactions with the environment from ancient times to the present.
